I'm Hielen, a photographer based in Seattle, WA, dedicated to bringing your unique vision to life. I specialize in portrait, family, couple, wedding, and event photography, capturing moments that tell your story. Whether it's a personal milestone or a special event, I’m here to ensure your memories are beautifully preserved.
I graduated from UW Seattle in 2022 with a degree in Ethnic Studies and minor in Informatics. Even though I enjoyed my time at UW, I’ve found my true passion in the creative world, where I have the freedom to express myself and create. I am originally from Ethiopia, coming to the U.S. at a young age has shaped how I view life, deepening my understanding of people and environments, which I reflect in my work.
I have a special love for capturing the unique connections between to be mom and dad, wife, and husband. There's so much to explore in this phase of life, where emotions are heightened and beautifully visible. In the future, I hope to become a travel elopement photographer. Although I haven’t yet left Washington for photography work, I know it’s in the cards for me.
