With 15+ years of experience gigging, teaching all ages, & working as a musician across the country, I have developed a distinctive style on drum set that is developed through listening and studying other master drummers. Learning a musical instrument is and always should be enjoyable, even when students identify walls in their learning, the process in which we are able to push passed those walls together is the most important piece of the puzzle.
We will discuss inspirations & goals to prioritize in our lessons, which gives a personalized path forward for each student of mine. Fundamental rudiments & techniques are important aspects to drumming and will be touched upon in each lesson, though our main focus will be listening and breaking down songs chosen by you! If learning a style of drumming sounds better, I can recommend a list of drummers & artists for you to study and cover in our lessons together.
Beginner & Intermediate lessons will cover diligent practice routines that work with your schedule & ways to improve each week. Consistency is always encouraged in ways that are not overwhelming.
Intermediate & Advanced Lessons will dig deeper into song study at a higher difficulty, phrasing, touch, feel, dynamics, gigging if that is something you are interested in, & much more for continuous growth on the drums.
